These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your booking and participation in trips organized by 5 Senses of Portugal ("we", "us", "our"), hosted by Maria & João. By submitting a waitlist application, making a deposit, or joining a trip, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the trip

5 Senses of Portugal organizes small, curated, all-inclusive hosted group trips in Portugal, limited to a maximum of 10 guests per departure, with a minimum of 6 participants required for the trip to take place. Trip dates, itinerary, accommodations, meals, activities and transportation are as described on our website and communicated to guests before booking.

2. Bookings and payments

After our initial contact, we require a down payment of 35% of the total trip price to secure your spot — refundable in full if the minimum group size is not reached. The remaining balance of 65% is due by the end of January. All payments can be made online via credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.

3. Cancellation policy

• Deposit: the initial deposit is non-refundable, unless the minimum group size is not met.
• Cancellations up to 60+ days before departure: full refund of any balance paid beyond the deposit.
• Cancellations between 30 and 59 days before departure: 50% refund of the total fee.
• Cancellations with less than 30 days' notice: non-refundable.

If you are unable to attend after paying, you may transfer your spot to a friend at no extra cost, up to 30 days before departure.

4. Changes to the trip

We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the itinerary, accommodations, or activities due to circumstances beyond our control (including weather, availability, or safety concerns), while keeping the overall quality and spirit of the experience intact. We will inform guests of any material change as soon as possible.

5. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for arranging and covering your own flights to and from Lisbon, holding valid travel documents (and a visa, if required for your nationality), and for any personal travel insurance you wish to take out. Participation in specific activities is always optional — you are free to skip any activity you do not feel comfortable doing.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, 5 Senses of Portugal is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the trip, including but not limited to flight delays, lost luggage, or events outside our reasonable control.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Portuguese courts.
